First Update: Bug Fixes and what's next!


Sprite Anchor was just updated to version 1.0.1! Here are the changes:

  • Fixed a bug that could crash the program when deleting a sprite with Custom Data and saving the project.
  • Fixed an issue where the Timeline buttons would get pressed twice after loading a project.
  • Fixed an issue where the light background option wasn't working.

Thank you to everyone who purchased Sprite Anchor! I'm currently working on a few additional updates to improve the user experience a little bit, this is everything that's currently in the plans:

  • Language Selection (initially English and Spanish). This will be fairly simple to implement and could help make the program more accessible. Will definitely consider more languages in the future!
  • Reordering sprite sub-images. If you make a mistake when loading a sprite there's currently no way to fix it, forcing you to fix the frame order externally and then reimport the sprite. This would make sprite imports go a lot smoother.
  • Folders on lists. The sprite list especially can get long pretty quickly if you're working with many animations for many different characters. This should definitely help alleviate that!
  • Saving Preferences. I'm talking things like light mode, interpolations, or the multiple View options. Currently they completely reset when closing down Sprite Anchor, which can get annoying if there's multiple options you'd rather switch every time. I want to first evaluate if they'll be saved globally (so they're immediately restored when you open Sprite Anchor) or on a per-project basis, as part of the project file itself. Let me know what you think!

That all I've got planned for now, on top of any bugs that might surely appear down the line. If there's any other things you'd think might improve the experience for you please let me know!
